I’ve been praying a lot lately. With so much swirling around us and the chaos that seems to be ensuing at every turn, I’ve had to take a step back into my prayer closet in an even more intentional way.
I want to share with you six things I believe Jesus is showing me right now because I believe it’s for both of us. ?
Here they are:
First—social media is not the best place to get your ‘marching orders’ from.
Jesus is.
In any situation in life, if you’re unsure of what to do, how to proceed, when to speak and when to listen, ask Him. He knows you intimately and has a personalized path laid out for you to follow that allows you to carry a light burden and easy yoke (Matt 11:28-30.)
Second—know yourself!
We all have our own capacity and you are not your neighbor. If you’re feeling tired or run down, please assess your schedule and make some time to rest. If you struggle with giving yourself permission to slow down and take a break, I am giving you that permission right now. Spiritually, there’s a lot going on around us (worldwide) and some of your weariness could be spiritual as well as physical. Remember, there are more realms than just the physical one!
Third—you have truly been born for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)
I’m praying that events in the coming weeks and months would highlight to you just how important your voice, your story, your gifts and your contribution are in this hour. I believe God is orchestrating your steps in the coming days to bring you into the sphere of influence you’re called to impact.
Fourth—you are doing better than you think you are.
I know some days are crazy and it can feel like days turn into weeks turn into months and suddenly we’re halfway through 2020 and it’s like, “How is it June already?!?” It’s been a roller coaster of a year, that’s for sure! When it feels overwhelming, please see point 2. ?
Fifth—take communion. ??
Regularly. Daily, if possible. Jesus wants to share this with you in this season. I believe He is unpacking fresh revelation to you as you sit with him in this space. It’s holy and sacred and it’s your birthright.
Finally, you are carrying a mantle for reformation—in your family, your life, and your circle of influence.
You have been prepared and aligned. The time is coming for you to be released to bring the kingdom in the way you are uniquely skilled to bring. Jesus delights in partnering—in co-creating—with you and He wants you to know that the things that are burning in your heart are the things that are burning in His. Don’t rush ahead, though, because the ultimate place to run is from the place of intimacy.
He delights in doing this WITH you.
My challenge to you:
Choose one or more of the above suggestions and either implement (if it’s actionable) or ponder the truth in the words.
