Have you ever been struck by a quote that you just couldn’t get out of your head after you read it? I have many times and I wanted to share one of them with you today.

But first, do you know who Marie Curie was?

She was a Polish physicist and chemist who pioneered research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the only woman to win the Nobel Prize twice, and the only person ever to win the Nobel Prize in two different fields.

In the world of badass women, she was definitely one of them.

I recently read this quote of hers and it’s rocking my world:

“We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be obtained.” (emphasis mine)

Do these words hit you in your gut like they do mine? Because when I read them, I feel conviction. I know this is truth.?

May I be direct with you for a moment? I want you to grasp the weight of this.

YOU have a unique gift, a unique contribution to make to this world. There is an expression of God that only you bring.

Let me encourage you today. I believe one of the most important things we can do with our lives is discover what we were created for and then go do it!

Unfortunately, for many of us who have grown up in religious circles, this has become a heavy-duty, high stakes search that is fraught with anxiety and fear over ‘getting it wrong.’

But it isn’t supposed to be like that.

God takes great pleasure in watching you—His beloved child—search and seek and find what it was you were born for. And He is forever bringing encouragement, confirmations, and guidance along the way.

Perhaps even this post is one of those signposts in your journey?? 🙂

If you’re unsure of what you were born for, here’s an exercise you can do to gain some clarity.

Think back to what you loved as a child. What did you naturally gravitate towards? What were you gifted in? What could you spend hours doing and lose track of time, you loved it so much?

The answers to these questions are indicators that point you in the direction of the very gift you bring to the world. Perhaps it was in seed form there, but those seeds are still within you. Perhaps they are developed today; perhaps not. But they haven’t gone away.

And today, right now, there is an invitation to engage with those gifts in a fresh way.

It’s not too late.

I want to leave you with this: You are significant.

Whether or not your influence is big or small, make no mistake that your presence is both needed and vital on this earth. We need you to show up. We need to see you and hear your voice.

We need your one-of-a-kind greatness.

The journey to uncover your passions, talents, and purpose is important.

I’m cheering you on all the way!
